Day 1 : Arrive at Kathgodam Railway Station. We take you to Munsiyari by Car. Reach Munsiyari at around 5 Pm. Overnight at
ZARA RESORT - Munsiyari.
Day 2 : Start trekking from Munsiyari. Munsiyari to Lilam Trek, 16km. Night halt at Lilam in tent house or Forest Rest
House.
Day 3 : Start trekking from Lilam to Bogdyar , 16km. Night halt at Bogdyar in tent house.
Day 4 : leave from Bogdyar to Railkot , 12km.Night halt Railkot in tent house.
Day 5 : Railkot to Milam Village Trek 15km. Overnight halt at Milam Village.
Day 6 : Milam Village to The Glacier Trek 03km. Return. Milam Glacier to Milam Village Trek 03 km.Night halt at Milam

Trekking Tour for Nanda Devi Sanctuary (East, Milam side)

Itinerary Starts from Delhi
Day 1: Delhi (evening) - Pithoragarh(morning)
Overnight journey by bus.
arrival in the morning at Pithoragrh, also known as a part of Sor valley. Pithoragarh is curious amalgamation of the town and the village, the settlement and the agricultural fields. Famous for leather, woolen, wooden and cane goods, the town also has a host of temples.
Day 2: Pithoragarh - Munsyari distance is 154 kms. Overnight stay at Munsyari which is the road head of the trek.
From Munsyari one gets an excellent view of the Panchchuli peaks.
Day 3: Munsyari to Lilam (13 kms) - After breakfast vehicle will drop participants at Darkot (4 kms) from
where trekkers will commence walking along the banks of Gori Ganga at an average height of 4500 ft. Our destination is past Lilam village to Raurgari where we camp for the night.
Day 4:Today is a strenous walk along a gorge past the Gori Ganga river. The route is fairly up and down but generally eases off before reaching the Mapang(3100 mts, 9 kms) and to Rilkot(3200m 4km)
Day 5: RILKOT - MARTOLI VILLAGE (3324 m)-LAWAN(3600M) 10 kms trek. You are in high mountain country now and the tree line disappears giving access to vast stretches of Alpine pastures.One gets the view of the Martoli peak soon after Rilkot and we reach Martoli and explore the town before lunch. The trek to Lawan is along the river and through meadows with the Nanda Devi looming up large ahead.
Day 6: LAWAN - SHIAMA KHARAK(4200 M)10 kms Shiama Kharak with its rolling meadows is our base camp. From here only we can get fantastic views of the biggest Indian Himalayan Peaks.
Day 7: Bhital Guar (4450 m)5kms Day trek to the base for views of the glacier and the peaks. From here we can visit the glaciers on the Traill's pass area and the base camp for Nanda Kot.
Day 8: It is a day to rest and simply enjoy yourself in this magnificent location. Options include the hike up to the snow ridges of Nanda Devi East. There have been several sightings of bluesheep in the region.
Day 9: SHIAMA - RILKOT (20 kms).
Day 10: RIRGARI - MUNSIYARI (20 kms).
Nanda Devi trek - Day 11:MUNSIYARI - SAAT-TAL- KATHGODAM - DELHI Drive back starting early from Munsyari to reach Kathgodam
by the evening to catch the overnight train to Delhi from Kathgodam in the evening. Arrive in Delhi on the 21st morning.

Famous Fairs Of Uttaranchal
Jauljibi And Thal Fairs
The fair of Jauljibi is held here every year in the month of November. The place is also very significant since it is the confluence point of Rivers Kali and Gori. It is also the place of meeting of cultures, Shauka, Nepali and Kumaoni; these three cultures meet at this place. Stressing on the significance of this place in the past and even today is the fact this is the getaway to important places like Johar, Darma, Chaudans and Byans.
While the fair is important for its commercial value yet its cultural significance is equally important. It invites visitors from as far as Nepal, who come here to sell horses, ghee and take back food grains and jaggery. A similar kind of fair is organised in Thal on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on the occasion of Vaishakh Sankranti on 14th April every year and is particularly famous with Shaukas.
The Uttarayani Fair:
The Uttarayani fair is a very important fair to the cultural and social fabric of Uttaranchal. It is organised at not one but many places throughout the land of Uttaranchal - Bageshwar, Rameshwar, Suit Mahadev, Chitrashila (Ranibagh) and Hanseshwar. However it's Bageshwar where maximum crowds gather, though all are important from cultural, social and economic point of view. The fair also is connected with history, in the past also this fair has played key role, during the freedom movement. Gandhiji came here in Bageshwar fair in 1929.
Famous Festivals Of Uttaranchal
Makar Sankranti
An important festival in northern India, it marks the beginning of season change. People give alms to the poor on this day and take dips in holy rivers. Uttarayani fair is held around this time. Another locally celebrated festival around this time is Ghughutia or Kale Kauva. People make sweetmeats of flour and jaggery and make it in the shape of pomegranates, swords and knives and other such interesting shapes. A necklace is made with these then with an orange in the centre. Little children wear these and go out to attract crows and other birds and offer them pieces from their necklaces.
Basant Panchmi
A popular festival in northern India, Basant Panchmi marks the starting of spring season. It is usually celebrated sometime between mid January to mid February. Yellow is the colour of the day - yellow clothes, yellow flowers, and yellow rice. Goddess Saraswati is worshipped on this day, she is considered to be the goddess of knowledge and so the festival holds special importance for school going children.
Phool Dei
The festival is celebrated in the beginning of month of Chaitra according to the Hindu calendar, which comes sometime in mid March. It is mainly a festival of young girls, where in they go from house to house with plates full of rice, jaggery, coconut, green leaves and flowers. These girls give their blessings and wishes for the prosperity of the house and are given presents, jaggery, sweets, and money in return.
Harela and Bhaitauli
This festival is celebrated on first day of navaratri. It's an important Kumaoni festival where women fill baskets with soil and sow seven different kind of seeds in them. On the tenth day, when the seeds have germinated and grown into grasses, they are plucked and put in head and behind the ears.
Olgia
The festival is celebrated on the first day of August or Bhado as it is called in the Hindi calendar. This is the time when the fields are full of lush green harvest and the milking animals are very productive. Earlier son in-laws to father and nephews to maternal uncles used to give presents, however now a days it has changed.
Khatarua
While some say that the festival is celebrated in lieu of victory of king of Kumaon. But the popular belief goes that the festival marks the beginning of autumn season. It's celebrated sometime in mid September, the first day of month of Ashwin according to the Hindu calendar. Bonfires are lighted around which children dance. People offer cucumbers to fire as it is said to destroy all the evils. Special care is taken of animals during this time.
Bat Savitri
Another popular festival celebrated in entire northern India by married women for the well being of their spouses. The festival is celebrated on the last day of the dark half of the month of Jyeshtha according to Hindu calendar. Women worship Savitri who with her intense devotion brought her husband from death and observe fats. They also worship a holy tree called Bat or Banyan tree
Ganga Dusshera or Dasar
The festival is celebrated sometime between May and June on the tenth day of the month of Jyeshtha according to Hindu calendar. This is the day of worshipping river Ganga and people take a dip in holy rivers.

Day 02: Haridwar - Barkot (220kms/7hr)
After breakfast drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and others later drive straight to your
Hotel for night halt.
Day 03: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot {36kms drive & 10kms Trek (one side)}
Drive to Phool Chatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (7kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arr.
Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this
cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, After taking bath in Jamunabai
Kund's warn water and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji" returning to Hanumanchatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight
stay at Hotel.
Day 04: Barkot - Uttarkashi (100kms/4hr)
Drive to Uttarkashi via Barkot. Check in Hotel, Later visit Vishwanath Temple. Night Halt.
Day 05: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100kms/3hr each side)
We proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent
view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we return to Uttarkashi. overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Day 06: Uttarkashi - Rudraprayag (175kms/6hr)
Early morning, drive to Rudraprayag enroute visit Tehri Dam. Check in Hotel, night halt.
Day 07: Rudraprayag - Kedarnath (75kms by road & 14kms Trek)
Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or on by pony / Doli. Tour members
should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, tolietteries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel.
Later visit Kedarnath Temple. Night halt.
Day 08: Kedarnath - Rudraprayag (14Kms Down Trek & 75kms/3hr by Road)
Early morning, after Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Later, drive to Rudraprayag via Guptkashi. Check in Hotel at
Rudraprayag. Night Halt.
Day 09: Rudraprayag - Badrinath (165kms/7hr)
Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Later at evening visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti. Overnight stay.
Day 10: Badrinath - Joshimath (44kms/3hr)
Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakamal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sight seeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti,
Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee. Later drive back to
Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at Joshimath.
Day 11: Joshimath - Rishikesh (254kms/8hr)
Early morning, visit Narsingh Temple & Shankracharaya Math. Later, Drive back to Rishikesh. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 12: Rishikesh - Hardwar - Delhi (230kms/7hr)
Morning, visit Hardwar Local Sight Seeing & Temples. Later drive back to Delhi. On Arr. Delhi, transfer to Railway Station /
